At Alexander's, the clerk has a radio tuned to a Christian program. One of those is a question posed by the announcer who asks if there's a difference between a sin of "omission" and a sin of "commission." This is exactly the question posed by Hank to Sarah when they were deciding whether to go with Carl to the site of the plane crash.
