The objects that stand out in Félicité's collection are the little box that Victor brought her, Virginie's moth-eaten hat, and the stuffed parrot. Victor, Virginie, and Loulou all stood, at different times, in a sort of child-mother relationship to Felicite. She seemed to love and care for each as a mother does her child. Therefore each object is a symbol of her love.
