Do you think that Félicité's final vision is religious or delusional? Does it matter?

Félicité's final vision is definitely reflective of her religious feelings, but it doesn't seem like it's an actual religious vision. It is a figment of her mind. It doesn't necessarily matter to her experience, but it may function as a message about Flaubert's religious beliefs. If he really believed in God, perhaps he would have given Félicité a more convincing ascent to heaven instead of one that is so clearly a part of her imagination.
