After splitting from Ralston, Kristi and Megan are on their way out of the canyon when they get a little lost. WHen Kristi rides back to the car and does not see Ralston's bike, she assumes he already comes out. The girls figure they see him at the Goblin Valley Party. However, they skip the party. The next day, they go on their hike the next day and recognize Ralston's car, but do not see him.
