Ralston is a proud man who does not like to ask for help. Eventually he has to succumb and get his friends to rescue him. After Ralston is safe, they kind of laugh it off and think about what's to come ahead. Back at camp, when Ralston talks to his sister, he admits how scared he is and they cry together.
