Why did the Brits decide not to destroy Bohr's lab but to attack Gestapo headquarters?

It was decided not to destroy the Copenhagen lab or it would have alerted the a Nazis to the importance of his work. But the Gestapo had taken prisoners who knew of the importance of Bohr's work and some of them might talk. The decision was made to attack the Gestapo headquarters. The bombing raid took place on March 21, 1945. The Gestapo files were destroyed in the fire and many of the prisoners escaped.
