Grandmother is a cranky old woman who lives with her son, Bailey, and his wife and two children. She is preoccupied with appearances and snobby about "common people." She relies on her perceived "superior" Southern heritage to validate herself in the eyes of others. She feels her Southern conservative brand of morality to be a universal gauge for human character.
