Who is the antagonist in A Fistful of Fig Newtons by Jean Shepherd?

There is no obvious antagoinst in A Fist Full of Fig Newtons, except perhaps, the Lincoln Tunnel, where the narrator is stuck in traffic. None the less, if he hadn't been stick in traffic.... we wouldn't have the story.
