Margaery Tyrell from A Feast for Crows is the wife of Tommen, in this novel. She was originally married to King Renly (who was secretly gay) and claims that she never consumated their marriage before he was killed. The truth is that Renly didn't 'fancy' her. She was then promised to Joffrey but had only just been married to him when he is poisoned. Now, she is married to King Tommen, which makes her the Queen. She has vast influence over Tommen and eventually turns him against his own mother. Margery is loved by the people, something that none of the Lannisters seem to have mastered and she understands how to play the game of thrones very well.
