Emerie is awkward and unbalanced when she trains. It has to do with her wings. Without the full use of her wings, her body compensates for its off-kilter balance. The wings usually act as a counterweight. They are full of delicate muscles that constantly adjust and steady without conscious thought. When the wings are clipped, many of the key muscles are impacted.
