How does Georgie die?

Georgie died in a way very similar to how Alex was arrested. Georgie and the others were robbing a rich old man and smashing various things in his house when he came at the boys with an iron bar. Pete and Dim managed to escape, but Georgie was hit on the head and promptly died.
