Lady Donella from A Clash of Kings is a woman that comes to Winterfell seeking someone to help her hold on to her lands. Without a husband she stands to lose it. She ends up marrying Ramsey Snow (though she does not want to). He locks her in a tower, makes her sign over the rights to the land. Then, he slowly starves her to death in the tower. Before she died she had eaten some of her own fingers.
