Karen Randall's autopsy reveals that she died from systemic anaphylaxis, which means that her body had a bad reaction to something. Stretch marks indicate she recently experienced weight gain; this may or may not be pregnancy-related. A hole is found in the wall of her uterus. This hole is responsible for the bleeding she was experiencing when she was admitted to the hospital. The uterus, however, is not as large as it should be for someone who is supposedly four months pregnant. If an abortion was performed, the autopsy findings are clear that Karen did not do it herself but went to someone with at least some medical background. The autopsy results, however, are inconclusive with regards to whether or not Karen was actually pregnant.
