Why did Lovely choose to leave home in the novel, A Burning?

As a transgender woman, or hijra, Lovely experienced harassment and ostracization from a young age. Refusing to conform to her familial ideals, Lovely left her community and moved to Kolabagan, where she joined a hijra house.
