The protagonist of the graphic novel 300 is King of the spartans, Leonidus. Leonidus was inducted into the Sparatan ranks for training like all other boys at the age of 5. he was taught to be a fighting machine incapeable of fear or pain. he later becomes king and holds off the Persian super army for three days with his 300 hand picked soldiers.
