What is the author's tone in Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose?

The tone of the different characters is often emotional and passionate. Juror #10's bigotry and vitriol sets much of the aggressive tone of the play while Juror 8's calm and objective tone sets a thoughtful tone to the play.
