Why isn't Miss Maudie upset about the fire?

Miss Maudie is a truly optimistic woman, who does not place great importance on material things, but rather, the things that make her happy. After the fire, she sees her situation as an opportunity to build a smaller home and expand her garden. She doesn't see the ruins, she sees the opportunities.
