The Rocking-Horse Winner
How did imagery used to convey DH Lawerences attitude towards the 20th century in The Rocking Horse Winner?

I think the imagery of materialism, wealth, and greed contributed to the story because all the characters were affected by it. The images of expensive toys, horse races, and money (there must be more money) work like a virus that infects the characters in different ways.
