The Germans arrived in Hungary in the spring of 1944. Three days after the invasion of Hungary, German vehicles appeared in Sighet.

The next day brought really disquieting news: German troops had penetrated Hungarian territory with the government's approval.

In less than three days, German Army vehicles made the r appearance on our streets.
