What mistake does Charles make in CH 5?

Charles makes a HUGE mistake in Chapter Five. After two days of celebration, he brings Emma back to her new home. Unfortunately, he fails to remove his deceased wife's wedding bouqeut from their bedroom, where it is prominantly displayed. The dried flowers serve to dry up Emma's excitement.
